Data Export
Download a complete copy of your books as plain CSV files. Your data is yours — every export is structured so QuickBooks Online, Xero, or any spreadsheet can read it.
-
Columnsaccount_code account_name account_type normal_balance descriptionAccount codes and names match the ledger file exactly, so a receiving system can rebuild the chart first, then import entries.
-
Columnsjournal_no entry_date account_code account_name description memo debit credit contact_name statusLines sharing a journal_no belong to one balanced entry. Amounts are decimal dollars; debit and credit are separate columns. Dates are YYYY-MM-DD.
-
Columnsinvoice_number contact_name invoice_date due_date status line_description quantity unit_amount line_amount tax_amount totalLine-per-row layout matches what Xero and QuickBooks invoice importers expect.
-
Columnscontact_name email phone address_line_1 address_line_2 city region postal_code country
-
Columnsschema_version generated_at tenant_name files[]schema_version starts at 1. A future import will accept any export whose manifest it recognizes.
Not included
- Draft and voided journal entries (a status column is included on posted lines for transparency)
- Reconciliation session working data (matches, ignores, import sessions)
- Business logo and file attachments (v1 is data-only)
Importing elsewhere
The ledger file imports into QuickBooks Online via Settings → Import Data → Journal Entries (map columns during import). For Xero, paste the same columns into Xero's manual journal template. Import the chart of accounts before the ledger in either system.
